Steve has recently moved to Marion, Indiana. This town is much larger than Martinsville. His new companion is Elder Krage from San Diego. He is missing the ward members from Martinsville, but this is just part of mission life. Now he will have another group of people that get to know Elder Prothero and his amazing personality. We can't wait to hear all about Marion and the wonderful people he will serve there.

Steve made this rug for me on P-day.  I hope it survived the fire.

My apartment building is on FIRE!!

This is not Steve's apartment and he did not burn the toast.  Their neighbor did have a big fire.  Steve assures us that he and Elder Lowry are fine, just smokey.  They were home when the fire broke out.  Steve, did you play with matches again?  Your dad wants to know why you didn't get your stuff out.  You mom is grateful you were smart enough to stay out of a burning building.

Good bye cell phone.  I hope all of my girl friends got the message about my mission.  My sister is going to be using this phone for the next month.

August 5th. MTC D-Day

My sister with the effects from the H1N1 or swine flu.  She got bells palsy.  Way fun times.  She has fully recovered.  Good news you won't be disfigured your whole life.

The day I left for the MTC was a sad day for all.  My Mom and Kate are looking pretty sad in my room.

The farewell was awesome. The smoked pork was the best! It was great to have all of my friends come. It was sad that Clark and Ryan were already in the MTC. They missed my awesome talk. Can't wait to get out to teach the gospel.

This is Steve with his best friends Elder Clark Fredrickson who will be serving in the Kiev, Ukraine mission and Elder Ryan Christiansen who will be serving in the Edmonton, Canada mission.  This was a wonderful day that Steve could have his friends at the temple with him.  I know they will all be great missionaries.

Starting the Blog

Just wanted to be cool like everyone else that  is blogging.  So I thought I would start by blogging about my son Elder Steve Prothero.  He is currently serving a mission in the Indianapolis, Indiana mission.  He left on August 25, 2009.  This picture is at the Mount Timpanogos temple the day that Steven went to the temple.
